Fall 2022 COVID Information

Dear Plymouth-Canton and Dearborn Heights Montessori Families,

We are excited to welcome you back to school this week! The teachers have been busy preparing their classrooms and materials for your children and they look forward to a productive and engaging year with them.

Your child’s health and safety continues to be our number one priority. We’d like to share with you the most recent COVID-19 guidance provided by the CDC.

This year, we will transition from a pandemic emergency model to a more standard approach. You will still get school notifications when there is a reported positive case.

If your child is sick, please keep them home. As indicated in the CDC guidelines, if they have been exposed at home, it is best that they mask for 10 days. If they have symptoms or test positive, they need to isolate for 5 days and can return to school masked for 5 days (days 6-10).

We will continue a layered approach to COVID-19 that includes frequent handwashing, increased ventilation, and vaccination. Proper classroom disinfection will also take place daily.
